The late Harold Belcher founded Belcher Auction Company in 1919 in
Battle Creek, Michigan.  Primarily specializing in farm and livestock auctions
at the time, the company grew considerably during the depression era.

In 1937, Harold's son Edward joined the company at the age of 18. By
the following year, Edward was the head auctioneer at the Kalamazoo,
Wayland and Cassopolis livestock auctions.

The company expanded significantly into a full service auction and
real estate company in the 1950's. Although farm equipment and livestock
auctions were still the norm during this era, antique and estate
sales also became very popular.

In 1964 Brent Belcher, at the age of 20, joined his father and became a full time auctioneer.

The company's growth continued to accelerate through the 1980's and
90's specializing in land sales around the state.

Kevin, the fourth generation of Belcher to auctioneer, began
his career at the age of twelve. After graduation from college in
1991, Kevin joined the company and became a full time auctioneer.
